finally in Montgomery...

Panama City. Andalelusa. Finally home. A few jonny walker blacks. Some great southern home cookin. I step out back for a smoke and look up to the heavens no matter where I am as I so often do and see more stars than I normally do. I can see the depth. I see that some are closer to me and some are farther away. Whenever I do this, I am reminded how small I really am. I'm confronted with my mortality yet I'm awakened to how big and astounding existance really is. As much as I run from and deny my home, it is here where the bigness and unlimited boundaries of all things seem to simplify. Only a year ago I lay on my back here on a trampoline with a female friend, and we witnessed 10 shooting stars that night. Looking up will always keep out miniscule perspectives in check and remind us of the things important to us and the things we take for granted.
