For all of you out there health conscious but are unwilling to settle for the tree huggin' diet; I got something for ya. After watch a ducumentary follow-up to 'Super-Size Me', I did some diggin' myself and foud that a moderate 'Atkins' diet along with a raw veggie diet can work. While these processed fats or oils are marketed as healthy, they fail to mention that these fats are tampered with. You can't just squeeze corn oil from corn. You have to tamper with it in a lab so to speak. But untampered animal fat is healthy for the body. In moderation it allows to body to burn the sugar from the starches of whole grains. You have to eat A LOT of green raw veggies to burn the carbs of potatoes, wheat, and rice. But with a hamburger or steak, or pork, or chicken you can eat a small amount to burn those starches.
So substitute that 2nd slice of whole wheat toast with your eggs with a 1/2 inch slab of 'queso de frier cheese' and add mega flavor to your meal. It's a minimal fat FRYING cheese that can elevate a meal in flavor and elegance with minimal pounds and miles on the treadmill to your day. You can fry the hell outta this stuff and add great flavor and texture to a meal. I just found a recipe for it...Pan fry a 1/2 inch slab of this and cover with a fried egg or two, over 1 slice of whole wheat bread...slap some of your favorite hotsauce on it and have a fruit bowl along with it and you got a breakfast with tons of flavor that will carry you a few hours further that a bowl of cereal! or fry a few 'queso de frier' cheese sticks and dip in marinara or salsa verde...Now thats decadent!
